Both are virus timebombs waiting to happen so I recommend the new Netscape 8.1 and change the home page to the Aol interface which is an option easily done by selection from the bottom of the page after you install the new Netscape (Netscape is owned by AOL) , All of this is for free. The New Netscape browser offers the most protection for your computer environment like no other brwser today. The new Netscape homepage sucks - so thats why I recommend the change to the AOL option as the homepage.
Read the professional reviews about this browser and its protection (not the reviews of the computer challenged who are looking only at the surface without understanding the powerful tool that it is). No, I dont work for Aol - and my computer environment is virus literate and under control as the result of adding this to my arsenal. I might point out that this new browser will handle all website displays using this one brwser as it allows you to switch in a pulldown window to show a website in a IE format or even Foxfire if need be to display the site correctly.
Hope I havent complicated your day - just trying to help(smile)

ITs in beta version so if you want to risk it, you can try it out. They added a feature where you can now tab browse. This means you can open a few browsers under one browser, and then tab to your webpages instead of opening a new window everytime.

"Beta 1 of IE 7.0 includes many of the features that Microsoft had been expected to deliver in the product, including support for tabs, built-in RSS feed support, , better support for Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and transparent portable network graphics (PNG) support. It also includes a toolbar search box that is designed to replace third-party search toolbars, as well as support for shrink-to-fit printing.

The two different Beta 2 versions of IE 7.0 may or may not be released in tandem, Schare said. According to a new Microsoft IE 7.0 white paper, Microsoft is endeavoring to release Beta 2 of the standalone version of IE 7.0 before the end of calendar 2005. Beta 2 of Vista is not expected to go live until some time in the first half of 2006.

Beta 2 of IE 7.0 will include more new features around tabs, more advanced RSS functionality and the addition of "Protected Mode" support. Protected Mode is how Microsoft is looking to protect users against "elevation of privilege" attacks by preventing IE 7.0 from being able to modify user or system files and settings."
