There are accusations and finger pointing on both sides, and the whole Arab-Israeli problem is too big to discuss here.
I'd like to know who you believe started the CURRENT conflict , were there any hidden motives in your opinion ( whether in starting the conflict or prolonging it ), and finally who is "milking the cow !" at the moment.
Stating your nationality, or country of long term residence can show others if there are any patterns to local opinions.
Thanx

The current conflict was started by Hezbollah, a para-mililtary organization in Lebanon, branded by the US and Israel as a terrorist organization. The stated motive of Hezbollah was to exchange prisoners with Israel. I believe that there was a hidden motive, because of the timing. The hidden motive was probably to distract the G8 Summit from Iran's nuclear power talks.
While I do believe that Hezbollah started this and that they are hijacking Lebanon and its civilian population, I do not agree with Israel's supposed self-defense response. Lebanese civilians and the Lebanese civilian infrastructure is paying, and Israel knows that full well. Hezbollah has barely been hurt.
Syria and Cyprus are making a whole lot of money out of the Lebanese pouring into their countries. Although Cyprus certainly did not in any way want or contribute to this tragedy, Syria did by supporting Hezbollah.
Israel is benefitting already, regardless of where this is headed, and what happens to Hezbollah. Prime Minister Ohlmert of Israel declared that one of Israel's goals was to send Lebanon back 20 years. See any newspaper dated the first or second day of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Lebanon has been sent back to the Middle Ages as its airport, roads, bridges, industry buildings, residences, hospitals, schools, churches and mosques, etc.. have been reduced to rubble.

Neither side "started it" it's been going on for years, it ebbs and flows. You know this.

Hezzbollah kidnapped some soldiers and killed some others, Israel responded with, arguably, an asymetrical response. Hezzbollah calmed the situation down by firing 400 rockets a day into Northern Israel. Israel blew some more people up because if they are dead they can't be terrorists any more. Their close relations get annoyed and become terrorists (Freedom fighters).

The answer? Separation? Annilation? Financial freedom? A roadmap?

I don't know.

Whoever started the troubles Is different from your point of view. jews say it was the arabs and vice versa. The official story is that Lebanon shot a missile into Israel; Israel retaliated and lebanon kidnapped 2 soldiers etc. I personally would not be surprised if the Israeli shot themselves or if those soldiers were never kidnapped(they have done such self inflicted attacks before). this just as to occupy lebanon again and strengthen their position now that Iran is doing the same. The only ones benefiting from this crisis are Iran and IMI respectivly the Lebanese and Israeli weapon suppliers.

You have not stated your nationality. My nationality is obvious. Who started is immaterial, in a war of attrition of this nature. You ask the Israel, they will have grievance against the palestinians, who had deprived them of their chosen land. Ask the Palestinians. We know they have been unsettled from their lands, their forefathers lived for a long time. In a conflict, there are always two sides of the coin. Each is justified from their own perspective.

The Deir Yassin bloodbath changed into heavily exploited by using Arabic-language propaganda publicizes of the Haganah to frighten the Palestinians into leaving,in which undertaking they were assisted with free rides to the countless borders, many times Lebanon,Syria and Jordan. below international regulation notwithstanding civilians who flee a wrestle zone - along with the Belgians in 1944 - are entitled to go back to their houses on the top of hostilities. This the newly-formed Israeli authorities refused to do, ensuing in everlasting displacement and a community of large refugee camps maintained by using the UNRWA. in addition they refused to compensate the DPs (Displaced persons) for his or her sources. The refugee situation turned right into a very warm factor of controversy in the course of the 1950's. Sen. John Kennedy turned right into a finished of existence supporter of their accurate to go back or receive sufficient repayment. He visited the DP camps in Jordan and Lebanon on distinctive activities yet he changed into under no circumstances able to guard passage of a bill endorsing their accurate of go back. President Eisenhower - whose Allied forces immediately supervised both the evacuation and eventual go back of the Belgians in 1944-40 5 - reacted to the unresolved DP situation with such disgust that he ended up pretty a lot severing diplomatic ties between the U.S. and the merry little Land o' Zion. The DP situation - once dubbed a "disaster" by using the international media - has now develop into an enduring fixture of the Levant and the UNRWA camps are - understandably - a thriving zone of recruitment for Palestinian militants. Which the Zionists use as an excuse to in many situations bomb into extinction countless refugee camps, maximum notoriously the camp at Quana in Lebanon on April 14,1996. better than one hundred sixty civilians were slaughtered of their beds by using a nighttime air attack that stunned the completed planet, except for the U.S. the position the "incident" changed into the item of an huge to-finished media blackout. i am hoping that is undeniable sufficient for you; in case you imagine this narrative includes distortions or falsehoods I recommend you search for suggestion from the lengthy island situations Index for the years 1948-1968.
