I don't think I'd want anyone else's guitar because they wouldn't articulate who I am in the same way as my own collection. I buy based on quality of feel, sound and emotional richness. My heroes like Steve Hackett, Anthony Phillips and Steve Rothery have great guitars in their collections and I'd love a chance to have a go on any of them and they've all played a part in my choice of guitar. But for now I'll stick with my little collection of cheap bits of wood because they all mean something to me, especially my 5 string bass and my first guitar.

The idea of only having 'one' choice is to painful to contemplate... The old saying of 'having two heads is better than one is true.. but how about two necks?. I'd love to own a twin neck Gibson 6 and 12 string, in a natural finish with obligatory humbucker pick ups..(and a mini crane to lift it on and off my shoulders). I wonder if you'd get a free flight case with it!!

Any vintage Gibson Les Paul or SG. pre 1973 prefrably owned by Jimmy Page at some point, but if i can get it for free i won't mind as long as it is old and valuable. I won't even play it, just look at it standing in it's glass case. it will be beatiful.
