I still have a Hotmail Account - but don't use it often - for the very same Reason!

Now, I mainly use Yahoo...Find it much Better!!!

Use Mozilla Firebird as your mail program. It's a free download, and has an excellent spam filter - just mark it once, new ones will go to trash immediately afterwards.

i do not imagine marking them as unsolicited mail out of your inbox places a block on them. . .it only sends them immediately to the majority mail folder that is designed for below unsolicited mail. And in case your settings are accurate, you do not favor to do some thing wth the majority mail folder except empty it.

use the windows live mail beta, it has an option to "report and delete" spam so microsoft will block them. it's free just like yahoo mail beta
