i LOVE honda's and toyota's
japanese cars get the best gas mileage ever
american cars are total pieces of junk
(they can be ugly, too)
so get a used honda civic
or a used toyota camry
unless you can afford a new one
but stick to the japanese cars
Consumer Reports gives them the highest approval ratings
and ive always loved them, too

Honda makes the most reliable engines on the planet, and they are very efficient, so that would get my vote.
