or...do consistent (was that the word you meant?) negative feelings ever exist, or are they just the other side of happy feelings? (not sure what "that revolve aroun" means)

yes, consistant happiness can and does exist :) There may be a few dips in its strength at times, but if you look at things optimistically, you can have it
