Because we're human. People fantasize about people or situations they can't have because it's fun. This isn't cheating or even a desire for your partner to be different. This is a completely natural thing that everyone (men and women, no matter how much they don't want to admit to it) does. I think that if you obsessively fantasize about one particular thing to the exclusion of all others and it's starting to affect your relationship, then it might be a problem. If it's just idle daydreaming, then relax. Just a part of human nature.

I think you are generalizing but to a degree some partners use fantasy to spice up the hum drum that falls in their lives. What is wrong with it? They are not being unfaithful they may enhance their asexuality by doing so. Be grateful it is fantasy and not reality and get over it.
