i got interview.....when they ask y do u wana work here or where r u looking yorself in 5yrs.........what should i say.....i m accountant....but not good in interviews........got good exprience....plz help me

Research. Find out what they as a company are like. When you're waiting to go in for the interview, keep a level head (I know it's difficult when you're nervous and everything) and try to peek into the general office environment is like. Is it lively? Does it look friendly? What do the people who work there look like?

Try to get these things together in your head to come up with the answer to "Why do you want to work here?".

For instance, if your research of the company revealed that they've been doing some high profile accounts, or they've been in the top 50 or whatever firm, say something complimentary to that effect, like

"I'd like to work with so and so firm because you are a company that I can see myself developing in. I enjoy a good challenge, and your firm has the sort of mix of projects/accounts that I believe can give me that challenge".

You get the idea. But don't quote me word for word.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Be ambitious and just say it. Do you want to improve your skills? Do you want to have x number of accounts/projects under your belt by then? What kind of experience are you looking for? Do you like to lead (don't say that you don't like to lead though - that's very bad)? Do you like working as part of a team?

Write things down well in advance. Churn out these thoughts on to a piece of paper. Don't be conservative, just let your thoughts free and write things down. Then review them. What do you think makes you sound like the right person for the job? Get someone to help you to do this and do it together.

Nerves are horrible I know, but it's important that you stay calm and have your wits about you. A little humour (in the right places at an appropriate level of course - you've only just met the interviewer) might help break the tension.

The question can only really be answered by yourself, the usual method is to complement the company as the reason for working there and the opportunity to progress as an accountant. For the 5yrs part usually say what kind of role you'd like to focus on, if its accounting then say something like becoming a senior accountant of some type like a chartered one.

Always show determination, you want to progress through the ranks of the company upper management is always a good one, get as much knowledge about the role you want to take on and about the company you will be working for. never forget that the interviewer will be just as nervous but they will try not to show it. Always make sure you have a couple of questions ready to ask at the end, it shows you are interested in the role and the company and you are not just there for the pay rise. GOOD LUCK

put yourself in their shoes. what do they want to hear? why do you want the job? Good company? good ocnditions? do the workforce appear happy, satisfied? Will this job stretch you or aid you to further qualifications or grades within your job structure? Also consider personal development - will you as an individual benefit from this job, this company. What have you got to offer them? If you are benefiting from the increased well being of being in job you want or company you want to be with, etc etc, you will be a valuable asset to them. Your previous experience and added enthusiasm in this new post will combine to make you a worthwhile employee with lots to offer them.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? be prettyn honest on this one as your aspirations may be very diff from general company aspirations and it pays to suit the individual to the post if poss. Make sure you know a little of the company background. Do your homework. Dont come over smug, but knkowledgable.

Most of all tho, relax as much as poss. Be outwardly confident and make sure they know you are a good catch. At the end if they say "have you anything else you would like to add?" say something along the lines of "I am really impressed by this company and what I have seen so far. I know that I would fit in here well and I would enjoy working here very much. Thankyou very much for your time" - In your words but along those lines. I have never flunked an interview where i told them at the end I was the best person for the job. In quiet confident tones. But then they were always quite ballsy places who liked that sort of thing!Match your tone to the style of the company.

Why you want to work there should be an issue of mutual benefit for the best answer; you think its is a good company (for whatever reason?) and what you can offer them (e.g. your accountancy skill set). As for where you wish to be; they are not looking for the 'in your seat' smart-*** answer. They are checking to see what ambition you have (of course that is personal to you) but also to make sure they can support your development (if it is a decent company). Try looking on the web for general advice on interviews and be wary of some of the more radical answers you receive in yahoo answers. Good luck.

i hate interviews myself, your nerves get the better of you, i usually say when they ask why you want to work here, is well ive always been intersted in this line of work, and i know id enjoy my job very much if i was working in an enviroment and job that i liked doing.

and when they say what do you see yourself doing in 5 yrs you say hopefully working in this kinda job and place, who knows maybe here, where i would be at home and happy to work in and maybe progree to higher levels after 5 years with the work exsperience i have gained over the last 5 years of working in this line of work.

thats about all the advice i can really gice you really , just be yourself, not someone they would want you to be as that gives a false impression of you, and try to stay as calm and relaxed as you can.

Just be honest, say you want more money. These people are not superhuman, the only thing that separates you from them is a few years of experience.

Unless you are being interviewed by an HR representative, they are generally useless and know nothing about the job.

just be yourself and stay cool think about your answers but don't be timid always speak up and go with the flow of things show respect and dress appropriately think of your answers before you go in they nearly always ask the same things
in answer to your question i think you should something along the lines of ... i want to work here because it looks like a very nice company to work for ... or ... you were impressed by ... by something I'll let you decide ... compliments always go down well.
where do you want to be in 5 years ... well you always start at the bottom when you start in a new company .. so say something like you'd like to be in charge of the department ... ambition always goes down well with that question and if you do get the job they'll never remember what you said anyway and please remember to write your words fully not like you have on here

I'm not good at interviews either, but who is, it's just luck. I just tell them in 5 years I want to still be doing something I enjoy and that I am good at. If the opportunity arises for me to move up the ladder or take on extra respinsibility then I will.

Tell them you have heard a lot of good reports about the company and would like to work for a firm that appreciates the effort you have to put in,, all that buttering up kinda s**t.
Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs ?
Thats a bit more tricky coz I dont know you but a good one is always, I would like to be in your position, ie. giving the interviews.
