i got bruised about 3 months ago on my leg playing hockey... the bruise still looks fresh (as though it happened yesterday).
also, i got cut on the arm about 6 months ago... and while it had scabbed over nicely, i can still see a very prominent mark where i was cut. (not a scar... it resembles a cat scratch...but its been there for 6 months)... and ideas on what could be wrong... or what i should do?

Within the past month i've dropped 2 pant sizes... I often get dizzy and lose focus on my tasks very easily... and this all started happening very recently. Are these symptoms of diabetes too?

I know that i don't have aids... i'm not sexually active, have never touched a needle, and haven't been around anyone else's blood...
i give blood every 6 months or so... and i know that they check for things like that... so i know it's not aids.

Your symptoms sound very suspicious for diabetes. Are you also experiencing constant thirst, excessive hunger and/ or excessive urination? Do you feel tired all the time? Have blurred vision? You really need to be evaluated by a doctor. Diabetes can be diagnosed by simple blood tests, and treated easily by diet, exercise and medication appropriate for the type of diabetes.
Good Luck!

I would go to a doctor when you can because slow healing of cuts and bruises can be a sign of diabetes. You may just need a healthier diet but get checked anyway

You could have a blood clot in the bruise. As for the cuts not healing you could have a immune deficiency problem. Go to a doctor immediately as both could be serious signs of larger health problems.

Are you diabetic? Have you lost weight without trying to? Do you sweat constantly at night? You should see a doctor. This could be diabetes or lukemia.

Eat right. Clean your wounds.

Bruises can be very nasty and take a long time to break down and dissolve. My brother had a hematoma last for nearly a year.
