A satellite is something which orbits something else. So the moon is a natural satellite of the earth. Man-made satellites is anything in orbit that we have put there, including the international space station, and various transmitting satellites which broadcast television or GPS signals, and also various bits of junk that have fallen off the sapce shuttle.
There are also man-made satellites arround other planets and moons - at the moment we also have a european satellite surveying the moon, the american Mars Orbital Surveyer, around Mars, and Cassini, a probe orbiting Saturn.

Man made satellittes are mechanically engineered objects launched to orbit Earth or another celestial body, ofcourse made by man. As compared to the moon, the moon is a natural satellite because it orbits the earth and it its' not man made.
