John 15
The Vine and the Branches
1"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. 8This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17This is my command: Love each other.
We die to go be with Heavenly Father. Earthly life is temporary; life in the kingdom is eternal.

I like to think of myself as being an infinte being, I exhisted before I came to earth and will exhist after I leave here. I am on Earth school now learning and experiencing things I could not have learned and experienced any other way. There is purpose for exhistance. Just because we do not have all the answers now does not mean we will not have them in the future. This is a test this is only a test if this were not a test we would have all the answeres right in front of us. There are cheat sheets provided I believe, wisdom from those who have passed through this life before have left us records of what has worked and not worked for them. If you want to know, study these.

Life is the way of living. All the elements are perennial in their original form. Only the shape changes. Similarly body dies but soul is immortal. Change is the nature of the elements.Life consists of five elements : the earth, water, fire, air and vegetation. A drop of water, after falling into the ocean, changes its shape, by the heat of the sun, it evaporates, and again changes its shape but never loss its existence. Similarly, the body after death turn into the earth and the soul exists into different life.

I think you will get the real answer of this once you are dead!
But while we are alive, the answer to this question depends on our personal beliefs. In my opinion the meaning of life is becoming better persons, finding a good mate to produce good children - in a bigger view, trying to improve the world and make things better.
But looking at how things are going, i see myself as a minority in this kind of thinking. However, I like to believe that the postive will triumph someday!

The fact that life is finite means we have to accomplish and experience as much as we can in the time we have.
I think people eventually focus on leaving a better world for future generations - maybe THEY will figure it all out! :)

The life at present is a cultivating ground for the etrnal life in the hereafter.
we live in this world ...similar to a student sitting an exam..
All our deeds are being marked as good or evil...
Our death will be the end of our examination and than we will be judged on our deeds to enter the etrnal peace of heaven or torture of the hell...

does it matter? i dont ask myself what i'm doing here or anything like that. I just live my life and try to be happy experiencing things, learning from them, and building friendships. it is sad that at the end of it all we die..but i like to think that life continues after death.
