I say it must be true, but apparently the answer is false. How can this be?

As long as the month is starting on a Sunday, the 13th day will be a Friday. The only way to make this statement false is if; one day of the week will go missing (which is never) or a month will be 12 days (which is again never). So the it can never be false that if a month starts on a Sunday, there will always be a Friday the 13th.

I don't know why you would say that because I look at my calendar and if Sunday is the first of the month then it makes friday the 13th nothing is going to change for any other time that this happens so no it is not false

I dont think the answer is false. If the month starts on a Monday, 12 days later will always be Friday.

If an asteroid strikes the earth on the 2nd, and annihilates all life as we know it, then there would be nobody left to look at the calendar, so therefore there would be no Friday the 13th

It will always be true unless the month ends on the 12th or perhaps the month does not have the 13th day.

Friday the 13th is a freaky day. One day on the 13th I opened the front door and saw a bunch of black cats, black squirrels, and black crows in my yard. Shivers....
