Being an Indian i wish India will win.
but being a critic also, i think the Oz n South Africa also hav a chance. If Dhoni n Yuvi blitz against McGrath, Lee and co. then theres no doubt that India will win.
Pakistan also stand a slim chance if Inzy n afridi do well.
Though still then Australia have the best hope apart from India.

This 2007 world cup will be so exciting that there are many favorites.
Now a days ODI are turned away so much that who plays well on that day will win. So there is no team that we can say that it can win world cup.
The favourites are :
Australia - Their form is dangerous from a decade
South Africa - Their side has the best gifted all rounders and have good spirit
India - They also have chance of winning it if they get hold in bowling department as all are youngsters (need practise). The return of Sachin and good captaincy of The Wall of India, Dravid will boost the Team India to win the world cup.
Pakistan - They have a good combination of youth and experience. The back bones (Haq, Younis, Yousuf) of batting are very important for their team to get the world cup. Thwy also have a good bowling line-up with Asif firing at the top.
Sri Lanka - Inspite of their downfall after the series in India, they got into the track and are playing nicely. The main job for this world cup is laid on Jayasuriya, Vass, Murali and the other players.
NewZealand - One should not underestimate this team as this team has some good bowling attack. There are pretty good all-rounders also in this team. Even though one or two fail but the remaining will succeed.
England - This is the team that had come to finals more number of times and not winning the cup. They are in deep trouble as their players often get injuries.
Of all Australia, South Africa and India are having more chance of winning this world cup.
I am an Indian and I hope India will win it under the captaincy of "The Great Wall " (of India), Rahul Dravid.
Hope you understand this estimation.

honestly i see the only competition to Australia coming from India. England and New Zealand have both made giant strides with their programmes of late but both are too off and on. South Africa could make a run but they seem a little under prepared. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are going through an interim patch the West Indies haven't climbed out of the ditch they dug themselves into in the mid-late '90's and let's face it Banglesdesh/Zimbabwe and whoever else competes is simply there for entertainment. Australia will win, barely, but it could be along time before they win again.
