autumn begins with the Autumnal Equinox, which is usually around September 21
winter begins with the Winter Solstice, which is usually around December 21
spring begins with the Vernal Equinox, which is usually around March 21
summer begins with the Summer Solstice, which is usually around June 21

Like the other seasonal terms, although it may be "pin-pointed" on the calendar (October 21, I think, for fall), it has a looser, more commonly used conversational sense. e.g. Leaves turn colour in the fall (the colour change starts about the middle of August). Kids go back to school in the fall (school starts the first week of September) and so forth.

Fall in the States starts near the end of September, somewhere around the 22nd or 23rd. It's also called the Fall Equinox.

in india :-
summer- mid april to mid july
rains- midjuly to mid october
Normal- rest of october to mid november
winter- mid november to mid february
fall- mid february to february end
spring- march to mid april
