The antioxidants Vitamin A (as Beta-Carotene), Vitamin E, and Vitamin C offer protection to the brain, lungs and eyes. They are also know to reduce inflammation and aid in healing previous damage.
A good multivitamin that contains 10,000iu Beta-Carotene, 500mg Vitamin C, and 200iu Vitamin E taken daily would be a good start. There are many options after that but additional vitamin C and Vitamin E would OK.
Add 500mg of Vitamin C after a few days on the Multi. Add more after another few days. Don't be afraid to build to 2000-3000mg per day but be sure and do it slowly. Adding Vitamin C too quickly may cause diarrhea.
Vitamin E doses to 800iu are common. Add additional E only after taking the Multi for several days. Be sure you only use natural Vitamin E vs Dl-Alpha.
The multi will provide a wide range of nutrition that your diet may not. The many vitamins (A, B1-6, B12, D, E, Biotin, Folic) and minerals (including Zinc, Chromium, Selenium, Copper) in the Multi will all help insure your getting enough for your body to work right.
If the Multi bothers your stomach, take it with a meal that contains protein.
