Half = 1/2
to divide 2 by 1/2 we're saying 2/1 / 1/2
This is the same as saying 2/1 * 2/1

that's assuming you meant dividing "by a half" i.e. 2 / (1/2)

if you meant dividing "in half" (halving the number) it's 2 / 2 = 1
