We have-black outs quite often here in Winter when there are storms.
The most recent one was in January. What did I do? Well:
I ran around the house banging into everything trying to find the candles which I had bought specifically for black-outs, and then hidden somewhere.
When I gave up the search (too many bruises), we went to bed and made love to the sound of the storm... Aaaaw

just took out the self charged batteries and lighted a few candles to make the experience worth it rather than panicking and thought that when there was no electricity still we humans survived , then y remain dependent on something that we have just been using for a century only.

Yes. Sleep or play board games. Last year during a hurricane, my husband and I were so bored (and such nerds) that we took turns choosing random words from the dictionary to define and spell.

Play badminton, walk around the yard and play with the cats, or just lie down on the bed with my sisters and talk about stuff.

Listen to family stories about the grands and great-grands, or about how reckless your parents once wore.
Try to scare each other.
Board games/ cards.
I love blackouts- temporary ones of course - good for family bonding.

Yeah, Black-outs are awesome. Well, it depends, if its light outside, they suck. But if its dark, they are really fun, especially if its clear. You just like hang out as usual, maybe go play some soccer...and just like party...

Wait, don't panic, the lights will go on again soon enough. If it's late anyway, go to bed. You do not need to do anything, the elec company will sort it out.
