Why are you trying to be celibate for 8 weeks, may I ask???
Mine was 3 months. It was still too painful to even try after the difficult birth of my son. It was a long 3 months, but worth the wait!
Now, I start to worry if 2 days go by...

I am working on 5 months now,,, longing for the day when I can get my shoulder fixed, then travel to see my wife in Costa Rica. So, it has been 4 months and 20 days now.

After a bad break up ( we were together 14 years) I had to heal myself emotionally. So I did not have sex for a year and a half !!! talk about going crazy. Thank god for sex toys and fingers. I don't think I could go that long again with out it.
