I think he's a terrific actor and the latest bonds have been absolutely attrocious. I think Pierce was a fine bond but the writing for those movies was the worst. The fact that they are trying to start fresh seems like the right move, just like the batman franchise. I dont know what everyone is getting all worked up about...

The allure of James Bond was his persona, not his color, and any actor that can pull off the cool, confident, suave, with style, charisma and over the top sex appeal would be a great James Bond.

Many on here may be too young to remember, but before Pierce Bronsnan was picked to be the new James Bond, they had even considered Sharon Stone, a woman, to be the new "Bond" for a new generation after her success in "Basic Instinct" and "Total Recall".

While the action in the Bond films is always good, I would like to see better scripts where you get more into the charachters; it is hard to care whether a charachter gets killed or not if the story has not shown you who they are and why you should care about them. If the scripting and storylines are not improved, it won't matter who plays the new Bond, it will ultimately bomb.

The Jesus part of the question is irrelevant and inflammatory.

The first response my 18 year old sister had looking at the new Bond trailer was "He's old!". I would have thrown in ugly with big ears, but that's just me.

Even when they got different actors to play Bond in the past, it was still a good looking dark haired man who could pull off the suave debonair thing. He may be pretty good at the part, but just from watching the trailer, I don't think I'm gonna part with $7 to see it at the theatre myself.

Jesus wasn't black, though he wasn't white either. He was Arabic. The 'black Jesus' thing is just Leftist miltant revisionism going on, as well as the nonsense argument we were all black in our prehistory. When humanity came into being the world consisted of one continent, of which what Africa is now was just one part of. White people are descended from darker coloured but not black Indo-Europeans. The image of Jesus as a handsome bearded white guy has nothing to do with white supremacy but was the creation of papal propaganda. Pope Alexander VI Borgia commissioned a painting of Jesus based on the likeness of his son Cesare in order to propagandise his own bloodline. Such was the power of the Borgias that all Renaissance artists of that period along with artists of succeeding periods decided to copy that likeness. Before that, Jesus had been darker skinned and beardless. Cesare was bearded and fair skinned.
