I live in Wellington New Zealand and currently NZ is experiencing its worst ever winter on record. We have had weeks of Southerly (ie from the South Pole) storms including severe snowstorms in the South Island which sometimes happens but not to the extent and coverage recently experienced. Also serious floods, landslips and the coldest temperatures ever recorded in some places. Currently in Wellington its about 7 C which is about as cold as it ever gets (1020pm) , but its been 6-12 C for about 3 weeks. I remember only one other day in Wellington when it was 6C in the entire time I have lived here, (off and on for 17 years). Tonight we have snow forecast for the hill suburbs which is completely unheard of. So while you are sweltering we are freezing, I wonder what's up with the world that we're having these weather extremes. Happy hot days. Make the most of them. You do live in England after all. It'll be cold soon enough.

Ta for the report, here in the South East of England it is really rather hot, 34C, maybe 35. Not a cloud in sight, and a nice little breeze coming off the coast.

I'm in Connecticut (US). The other day it was really brutal hit in the 90's and the humidity was awful.
So far it's only about 6am, so no real weather problems... it's cool and breezy. Very comfortable... but like I said, it's only 6 am.
