If you're eating a healthy balanced diet (eg. 5portions fruit/veg..low fat, salt and sugar) then you are probably getting everything your body needs naturally. However, occasionally you may become deficient in some vitamin or mineral during your life so supplements make up for that. Western diets seem low on essential fatty acids (fish oils) so they are useful as a food supplement. Vitamin C cannot be stored up in the body so you can take that regularly. The plant extract supplements are dubious in terms of their efficiency and effect, but many people have positive experiences from (eg Ginseng, St johns wort etc.). But there are so many out there, you can get sucked in to taking supplements which aren't in fact making any real difference to your well being.

Yes ma am I do! I use lots of them. But remember
you must also have a healthy diet otherwise it will
negate the supplementation.
Supplements are necessary for the most part
since americas soil is so horribly depleted. With the
pollution, the smoking, and junk food. We are very
sick people. One of the sickest nations in the world.
And our multi-billion dollar health care system isnt
making us any healthier...hmm.
I think its time people took thier health into thier own
hands. Doctors just F it up.

yes i do cod liver oil and multi vitamins in one pill
been taking it for a year, cant say i fell any different
just wear sunscreen!!
