The idea of getting an unattainable object is sinful.. it makes you crave.. it makes it desirable.. when u can't get what u want.. u keep thinking about it.. it consumes your thought.. clouding your judgement.. it loses its appeal when u get it.. cos the challenge is over. and u won.
its the same wif life isnt it? you tend not to cherish your loved ones, u take for granted that they're gonna be there all the time.. cos u already have them. but when u're apart, u want them, cos they're not there..

This is a result of impulsive decisions. I use to be bad about it and ended up regreting I had acted on the impulse. Usually finding I could have used the money better or my time better. What I did was made myself think about the decision longer. I didn't try and deny myself I just made a conscience decision to put some time between the impulse and acting on it. Most times this works. I hope this helps.

because fantasy (wanting) is better than reality (getting). It is true in all aspects of life. For example, relationships, cars, computers, home purchases, the list goes on and on. Nothing is perfect in reality. But in fantasy, you do not take into account these little imperfections that WILL pop up. So the reality of getting this thing or person is a let down because it does not live up to the perfect fantasy.

It's human nature till u don't have it u wan't it bad , but after u have it it's no big deal..the reason is curiosity , we are curious how something will be after we have it, but after getting it we realize that it's just one more new thing, a excitement for a few days , and then we move on to fantasize other new things

We must be related, because that's exactly how I am. I convince myself that something will be so great and then it's just okay. All that time spent wishing I had it and then I feel letdown.
