Yeah, when it is really hot and that shouldn't happen. Must be another reason. Perhaps you ate something that doesn't agree with you.

No i haven't and i wouldn;'t risk it! My dog wouldnt like that at all! (He sleeps on my bed you see) But it's been so very hot in ireland as well! I kept a fan in a corner of the room because i learnt that as a nurse! You know when people have a high temperature? You put the fan on but not close to them as it would cool them down too much, it's healthier to cool the air in the room than the person. Your symptoms are clearly an indication as to why it is safer to cool the room than the person! Another trick (Avoiding me to sleep with an air cooler on) is simply to hose the walls of your house in the evening, it does help to lower the heat.

Loads of people sleep with fans or air conditioning on without it making them ill. I think it has more to do with too much heat during the previous day than too much cool air during the night.

You may have a touch of sun stroke; make sure you drink plenty of water - not too cold either as that can give rise to stomach cramps.

I don't think the air cooler would give you stomach pain, it's possibly too much ice cream yesterday? Or the heat. I still wouldn't advise it though, think of the cost!

There is a bacterium called Legionella pneumophila (not pneumophilia as per Wikipedia) that thrives in air-conditioning systems and causes (generally) respiratory illnesses. If your AC can be cleaned thoroughly with bleach or disinfectant, do so regularly; same goes with showerheads.

I have the best thing ever for staying cool in bed it is called a chillow and it is like a pillow, with a foam membrane that you put water in to activate. You can cool it in the fridge b4 going to bed if you wish, but I find that this is not normally necessary

hm...you probably ate something before you slept or you did some kind of work up. Otherwise you should only feel cold, not experience cramps.

I have slep with air cooler.I regularly use it.It is better than A/C sometimes. The cooler should have humidity control.Try with low humidity level. If your allergic to humidity ,then you may have some problems.
