The end of Cruel Intentions has Sebastian getting hit by a car after having a confrontation with Ronald on the street (this was after Annette had read his journal and was about to forgive him). He dies and Annette gets Catherine back by "publishing" his journal for the whole school. Catherine's parents figure out about her drug habit, the others in the school hate her for being well herself, and the last scene has Annette driving off in Sebastian's car.

Sebastian dies and his journal (with all the dirty work written in it) is published and the whole school send away his evil stepsister. the last scene is with Reese driving along a country road with the journal next to her.
