The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says, "They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

With love in Christ.

You don't KNOW. No one KNOWS. I think your problem lies more with the "catholic" thing than the gay thing. Be as good a person as you can be...Then you will lay at the end with the rest of the cool people. Who are you going to listen to?? Me? Or the Bible??

Jesus was the only man who lived without sin, and he died for all of our sins (yours included). Homosexuality is not an express ticket to damnation. If it was, then so would every other sin man has commited and Heaven would be one empty place. Remember that your father in heaven loves you (and in fact created you) JUST AS YOU ARE! Christian faith is about believing that despite our sins, if we believe and trust in God and the sacrifice on the cross, then Heaven is possible for any of us. Keep the faith sweetie!

A gay Catholic either lets him/herself be consumed with guilt over the things his/her church has been spoonfeeding him/her their whole lives... or he/she makes their own peace with their God, stays in or excommunicates themselves from the Catholic church for a more favorable woship experience at a much more accepting church.

there is no shame in who you are, people will spit, they'll curse you into the inferno hell. these people are ignorant, and so are the priests that say your going to hell for who you are. wheres the crime in your actions? wheres the crime in being free to love who you love? there is no greater punishment my friend, than to deny yourself, the love you feel for another person.
