some numbness and pain sometimes too.I've had 4 steroid injections for followup care..no complaints. Are you thinking about having a cervical fusion done? if so the worst part is trying to swallow for about 10 days(for me anyway) feels like you have one of those U joints(like under the sink) in your throat. The surgeon goes in thru the front of your neck,quite facinating (being a x-ray tech). I was home the next day after my surgery. They say it might effect your voice for a couple weeks after as well but mine was ok. GOOD LUCK
