At this moment in time, Islam has provided a scapegoat and attention focus for the world. As someone else said, the problem is poverty and repression. This is not necessarily only because of the governments of Muslim countries etc but also somewhat do to the exploitation by the rich capitalist systems. In cases of poverty and repression people can easily be brainwashed and fooled. Islam has been misinterpreted and misused by many people who find victims that are misguided due to their problems and in need for some form of relief. Because of this they are very willing to be guided by people looking out for their own selfish needs and wants. At another point other people were in the same situation but this problem seems to be magnified due to the world shrinking. Another thing is that since Islam has provided such a flawless scapegoat, bias in the media hides the misdoings of others and accentuates the misdoings of misguided Muslims.

Most of the trouble in the world stems from poverty, not Islam.

That's because major Muslim countries are having oil and gas. There are always desputes in those regions.
The strategic posision of Islamic countries and the will of great powers to controll these areas is causing terrors. It is not mainly related to Isalam. There are billions of muslims in china, far east and america which do not do a single terrorist action.
If any other religon was living in these areas, they could be terrorists also.
Do not forget that terrorism is the result of "incorrect politics" and "endless hunger of power" of great powers in the world.
I am living in Iran and I am familiar with history of middle east.
This area was under dispute of Russia and England for 200 years (while USA joined them recently) and almost all terrorist groups and all terrorist ideas were developed by them for some special reasons.
You can not mess somewhere and wish everything to be in its place at the same time.
If you think islam is language of terror, please reffer to history! In ages of wildness and anger, Muslims were most peacefull civilization. Howcome they changed recently?

I think what you are talking about is the "Moro Islamic", one particular kind of Islamic regligion, which believe they want to create a God's kingdom, if they cannot persuade you to believe it, they will fight you until you have to believe it. They have an organization called "MILF", Moro Islamic Liberation Font. And, of course, not every Islamic religions are like that.

Look over your history books and you might find some pretty massive war and hate stemming from Christianity. (Think "Crusades.")

Almost all religions are guilty of this. Some of the worst violence every perpetrated was in the name of religion.

Unfortunately, it's just another excuse for humanity's propensity towards violence.

Read the chapter on Violence in "The Blank Slate". Fascinating.

It's not all Muslim people that are war-like and hate-filled. There are plenty of war-like hate-filled Christians and Jews running around too.

I have to admit, I don't hear the Pope getting on tv calling for a jihad against non-Catholics. Imagine that.

> Boo hoo. You have been misled, pal..
So you believe Islam is terrorist religion just because there is a Osama Bin Laden who keeps issuing challenges to America and the newspaper says Saudis are helping Osama ?

> The reason Islam is hated because Islam is a cover-up for power..

Islam is from Christianity. It is just as sinful to kill for a Muslim as to anybody else. Perhaps even more so, because you need God's permission even to kill an animal.

Terrorists do not follow Islam.

Ahhh-i have been out of faculty for too lengthy and that i comprehend how rusty my recommendations has develop into! yet in reality, it is extra of a collection component than a 'faith' component. you may want to bypass further again in time to understand, or a minimum of attempt to...the only thanks to do it is to study non-literate peoples, or cultural anthropology. it all started, the hating the different component, when we were in communities, or tribes. We had to guard ourselves from outsiders, no longer each of the time as there changed into marriage etc between communities, yet for the most section. So there had to be a way of figuring out the 'different'. As society has develop into extra complicated, dividing and hating has develop into extra complicated. people hate individuals for causes that do not have to any extent further some thing to do with faith, like race operating example. yet faith is between the oldest dividers and is a nicely-known in that that is stumbled on to some extent in all cultures. i do not see people resolving this yet I tend to be somewhat pessimistic now and again. to take action, first the individuals may opt to be certain why there's a lot hate, and too few people comprehend the reason as we talk. Then they could might want to enable bypass of their strict adherence to their faith and their perception that theirs is the only one. possibly it ought to ensue, yet no longer in my lifetime.
