it was worked before but after i formated my computer it's not. The wireless connection in my computer saying that it's connected and in good signal strenth. But while i sign inthe msn, that's saying DNS couldn't resolve by the IP. I don know how to fix this problem.

my platform is windows xp home edition. computer hp pavilion zv5000.

If anyone has experience on this could share with me?? :(

1. Check to make sure that your computer has received an IP address from your router. Go to Start > Run and type: cmd.

In the command prompt window, type ipconfig.

If you don't see an IP address or you see an address starting in 169. then type the following:

ipconfig /renew

If you have an IP address, type ipconfig /all and look at the DNS servers area. If there aren't any ip addresses there, log in to your router and check to make sure that it has an internet connection. Hope this helps!

I once had a problem similar to that, where I was using the windows wireless program but when I switched to the Intel wireless client, it worked. So you might try a different wireless client.
