No, it is not the landlords responsibility to clean up your belongings. You should leave the place in the condition it was in when you moved into it and definetely not leave any furniture, trash, boxes, etc behind.
The landlord can charge you for labor & disposal for getting rid of your stuff.

You are supposed to leave the house in the same condition it was in when you began occupancy. If that desk and other stuff was there, then it isn't your responsibility. The landlord does repair and light cleaning due to normal wear and tear but she is not responible to clean up after you leave. She will probably only return a small part of your deposit back less the costs she incurred in cleaning the house.

Yes, it is up to you to clean the house and remove all of your stuff, your landlord has the right to charge you for cleaning and removal of your furniture, you should also shampoo the carpets. Much cheaper for you to do it than the landlord hiring professional cleaners and then suing you for the money to pay for it, so unless you have money for lawyers etc go and get you stuff out of the house and clean it.

You don't have to "clean" the place, but you should have moved ALL your stuff out of there.
The landlord is expecting the place to be in the same condition as the day you moved in (i.e. "empty"), with normal wear and tear. She is not expecting to have to remove any leftover furniture.

Ya, it should be in the same condition as it was when you moved in. If not cleaning costs could and probably will be charged to you. You probably put down a security deposit, usually equal to a month of rent. They will probably keep it for cleaning costs.

Evidently, you do not want your deposit back. Because if you did you would have left the place in better condition than that. But, on the other hand to leave items in there like what you said you are nothing but poor trash. Who do you think wants your nasty junk? You didn't want it why do you think the next renter wants it? I'm sure she will charge your tacky a$$ for her having to move your nasty stuff. I hope you pay dearly!!!

I'm afraid so...and they can charge you a (often inflated) "removal fee". Most people have to pay a security deposit...and then it is taken from the deposit....but apparently this isn't a factor in your case. Sorry...I know it isn't what you wanted to hear.

nope,.... well it is supposed to be in the same condition, as of when you first moved in.. so if you had some major damage
then you will be charged but if it's just dirt then leave it
