Basically, use Notepad to edit this file, not word. Word will be saving it with all kinds of formatting tags of its own when you save it as a .doc. The easiest solution all round is to use Notepad. The presentation is also clearer when coding.

the reason you don't see anything on the webpage is because you don't have anything in the body of this HTML doc. Here's a tag you might think is pretty cool, try using it inside the body of your html doc, good luck.
P.S: I advise you to use something like Dreamweaver etc. to edit your HTML source code instead of using primitive editors such as notepad

have u saved it as a .html or .htm file. Then u open it using ur browser, u'll be able to see it as a webpage.
