I think the wide use of mobile phones (I know those came about in the 1980s, but I think their actual boom was in the last decade or so) really changed the way people communicate and so made easy communication readily acessible. That speeds up globalization :)

the most important invention in the last few years would have to be magnetic memory. it just came out this year, and it will easily revolutionize computers for the next 100 years. it's the first merging of the hard-drive type memory and the RAM in everyone's computer. it will allow for much faster loading and startup times.

Not exactly in the last 10 years.. But the Internet has to be at the top of the list.


The most useful is TiVo. I love it. It is worth the 10 extra bucks a month to be able to record what i want to, and watch it when i want to.

iPod! What a revolution! I think it'a amazing that I can take every piece of music I love anywhere I want to! I know some people might not think it's life-changing, but for music lovers, it;s a God-send!

I think definitely, cell phones. They keep people in touch and seem to be, pure convenience, not to mention, they have probably saved countless lives. They have finally gotten affordable and are becoming necessities.

the evolution of the looping pedal for musicians.these things have changed my life and make me feel my potential is unlimited.there is an underground community of loopers that cover the globe.
