Seems to me sterility would be more effective and more logical.

I actually like men.

I've just seen this rhetoric cited here often enough to want to ask what's up with it. No introspection. No statement. No hate, either.

The theory comes from a recent study that showed that men with older brothers are more likely to be gay. The theory goes that once parents have a male child nature decides that they do not need another to replace them. It also helps to know it has been observed that when animals overpoplate an area they will often resort to homsexual behavior.

But the behavior has also been observed when you groups of the same sex are forced together for long periods of time such as prison or navies. Some people put the percentage as high as 70%.

I don't know how much nature has to do with it in a "design" mechanism, but it certainly doesn't hurt over population.

I agree with the answer that stated it is as provable as the statement, "God hates homosexuality."

It is certainly possible it is a design mechanism. Just because nature chooses a way to accomplish something doesn't mean that there aren't "other" ways to accomplish the same goal.

Nature designed humans to be able to travel by foot. We have managed to figure out how to get places faster... by auto, train, plane, etc. Is it better? Certainly quicker...

The point is it may very well be a way for nature to reduce population in some small way... nature isn't perfect.

The world is not over populated. And homosexuality is seen through out human history. So the argument is faulty.

It is just the straights attempt to explain homosexuality to themselves so they can wrap their mind around it in a logical way. I don't think it is as vile a concept as some homophobes make but it is just a result of their not understanding some thing that to them is incomprehensible.

hmmmm.... i must agree that is an interesting notion, and i have never thought of it that way, but to tell u the truth, i seriously doubt it is true. homosexuality has been proven to have existed in the past and i am a firm believer that it has been around for as long as there have been humans. it's just that they have been considered sinners, non-human, etc and have not been widely accepted until recently.

Homosexuality is a choice made by the person, not a genetic trait or accident of birth and it is an abomination in God's view. It will condemn you soul to hell.

Consider that there are infinite possibilities and that as humans evolve we diversify. There is more and better to come. Beliefs change with the ages, because it is human nature to understand that which we observe. What you believe is true for you.

This question has been asked and answered tons of times. Try doing a seach next time and not reasking a common question.

And no it's not because straight, bisexual, lesbian, and gay people all have and raise children. All that want to have kids anyways.
