someone either will get bumped off or the ones past 32 wont get on till someone is off. Learn aboul cider notation ie:192.168.1.100\244. If you do you will also run into sub netting.or super netting this will open up that little resriction. Please goggle cider notation and subnetting/supper netting. there is far to much to explain in yahoo answer. Hope this helps.

actually there are a lot more computers connected then 2^32.
there are a number of reserved ip numbers which cannot be routed.
like the 192.168.*.*. those ip's are used with different techniques to bring on-line a lot of machines. (a router is used, with the internal network 192.168.*.* or one of the other non routable addresses. the external network connects to the provider's network which has a routable, "real ip"). if you want more info do a serch with the term "NAT".
