Give the oil away for free. That'll stop UK and US intervention to constantly destabilise the region.

Remember the Iran-Iraq war, the UK and US supplied arms to both sides to keep the war going! How can the governments take the moral high ground on thsi subject?

A united Middle East would changethe balance of power away from Bush and his daddy's Oil company.

One nuclear bomb would destroy the whole planet over time btw, how stupid isthat!

Stats so far about 389 dead in Lebanon, 39 dead in Israel. Over 400 people have now given up their lives for this cause. These sides hate one another so much they have devoted their lives to war. You may work for IBM, they work for a war. You may get up and put in 8 hours of teaching, they get up and go to war! They could stay home and do crossword puzzles but no life is all about war. Both sides here need to get a life. Looking forward to another day of war, would be very discouraging to this cowboy. End the war, let's see, release 100 wild lions, drop some sleeping pills into the water supply, think hard, how about just stay at home, in bed and forget fighting for one whole week then see what happens. These people seem to have no future if all they want to do is kill other people.

People keep doing the same mistake again and again.
Only way to stop war is love, sacrifice, (not violently but harmoniously) think for others, help others, respect another human being etc. Perhaps, this is too much of a demand from the people.

You cannot end war. War is part of human nature. Always has been, always will be. Peace never solved any conflict. All of the ideas to "End War" have met with little success over the years, it seems. I know that in a perfect world we would all hold hands, drink a Coke and teach the world to sing, but I also know that if this were a perfect world then frogs would not get wet bellies. But that is just my opinion.

One world government, all nations under one government with one president for each nation and onepresident elected by all nations for the government. All decisions made by all governments regarding all countries. A one world army consisting of all nations, therefore racisim and ignorance can be stamped out and war among nations is not possible...the destroying of all nuclear arms and power, the relaying of all taxes from every country through all nations from one government body, the result would be no more poverty or 3d world nations..religion institutions disbanded also, where religion is a choice not a baptisim...simple really doesn't take an idiot to figure it out...

Can someone please post an exact time frame in History where there has not been any wars and i mean all around the world.?? yeah didn't' think so. War makes money it's a simple fact, and yes let's all listen to Superman. He knows what he's going to do, Dude if you're so American pride and freedom driven why didn't you join the military and be one of the many elite forces we have i.e. Delta,Rangers,Navy seals,sniper, Navy recon, Special forces,Marine warfare....... Dude i can really direct you in that way, then you can fight for freedom all you want..

Don't think there's much we CAN do. Everyone seems determined to hate and/or kill each other.

It's funny...people will hate based on colour or race. Within their own race, people hate based on religion. Within their own religion, people hate based on denomination (esp. Catholics vs. Protestants). Within their own denomination, people hate based on other factors like social status, mannerisms, money and material wealth. It seems like it's in the fibre of our very being to hate SOMEBODY.

War can only be eradicated if we stop the cycle of hate and finally learn to live in peace with our fellow man despite our differences. This is altogether too idealistic and it's naive to believe it will ever happen. People will not change, even for the greater good. So, war continues until we kill every last soul on Earth.

There ARE two things British people COULD do... which would almost certainly work...! Viz: (1) immediately sack warmongering leaders who deliberately tell lies in order to justify war for all the wrong reasons - and (2) rush 'em off to the ICC tribunal and have them prosecuted for War Crimes...!!!
That would sure cure ANY leader's appetite for war - PDQ...!!!

As long as there is religion, there will be war. Even if the powers of every country came together and made an agreement, there would always be extremists who want to cause trouble (and I mean in western countries too).

We cannot do much.The war mongers are Bush and Blair.They create instability and war to sell weapons and control oil resources.USA decides the fate of the world.Only American youth can do something by raising public opinion against war.I know American Youth is against war and they want peace.Hope American youth will awaken one day and end all war.
