Most 15 year old boys are at least 5 years behind in maturity. Women can deal with life's challenges and tend to be years beyond in the area of emotional strength. Don't count on him. Be the person you need to be and find help from your family friends and church.

Let me tell you from personal experience...the sooner you realize this, the sooner you can become the best parent you can be. Guys are immature. My son just turned one and all that I have gotten for him in the past year is a birthday card. Your best bet is to find a lawyer, get a paternity test taken, and let the man pay you child support. Regardless of if he wants to help, he should be required to help, you did not make a baby on your own. In the meantime, get your education and do the best that you can for you and your child. You don't want to rely on other people and the government for the rest of your life for support, you need to learn how to support yourself and your family.
The other thing is, don't let this become a habit. Often when you choose one person to be the father of your baby and that doesn't work out, you choose the same type of man and it happens all over again. Don't start a cycle of having children that have no fathers. You're still young, you have plenty of time to think about dating and relationships after you get your education.

Thats the problem with young guys! They are just not ready for anything even close to fatherhood! I have a 15 year old son and I would TOTALLY want to know I had a grand child out there! Does his mother or father even KNOW about the baby???? I would be helping you every inch of the way! I would love my grand baby to peices!!! Im sure his parents would feel the same way if they knew! Get a DNA test and then make him pay child support. it may not be alot of support money BUT its better than getting ZERO money!!!! Let his mom know it is his baby! I know Id be wanting to hold my first grand child close! Even if she or he was a SURPRISE!

Like everyone else said dont expect anything. You should have thought about how you were going to take care of a baby before you decided to keep the child. Because obviouslly being only 15 you cant do it yourself.

What? You are 15 and had a baby and you expect the father to take care of her? That IS what you are trying to say, isn't it? Is he 15 as well because he isn't going to want to raise a baby.. get used to it, YOU have the baby and have to grow up. He is just a kid, and doesn't.

He's not responsible and he probaly won't take care of her until she's a grown women and he's about to die. All you need to worry about is being the best parent you can be. Look around...how many dads really are there for their kids. The statistics are sad.
Keep focused
Keep your head up
AND-
Stay positive above all things everyday, every moment of your life.
Do not...DO not let this bring you down...

You did the right thing by keeping your baby!! Even though you are young you can still make it!! All you and your baby need from the father is money!! Make sure he pays you child support. This responsibilty is not just yours. Even though he's not a part of her life, his wallet should be for sure!! Make him pay. You need to finish high school and go to college, so you can get a good job and provide for your child. Good luck to you!

this is the hardest way to learn about the consequences of bad decisions. In the future, you need to realize that there are ways to prevent and even abort the pregnency. now you'll have to learn the hard way about how much work raising a baby is. I doubt you'll be able to go to college, and you'll probably spend the rest of your life poor and working two jobs, just to pay the rent. Good luck.

Get a court order to get child support immediately and drop the loser, he'll go get another girl pregnant and do the same thing whether he's with you or not. Deadbeat dads are the worst kinds of losers.
