Why not just live together instead of wasting your time and breath saying pledges you're not going to keep? Why get so excited when the man you've been living with for the past two years finally asked you to marry him? And so on and so forth.

At one time, marriage was a tool used to keep people faithful. That was back when people feared God and the government. These days, marriage is simply another step for people to take. We need continual change to stay happy. Of course, marriage only stays new for a small amount of time, leading to divorce. It's also commonly used to make gay people jealous that they can't get married. That's about the extent of it.

See marriage is a beautiful thing if the two people are really in love it's more than some pledges. It's love..it's telling that other person I will never leave you you are ment for me. Of course there are those chances it won't work. Lif is all about chances you take chances and hope that it is right sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. You get to know a person and there's a chance you'll fall in love and there a chance you wont. The only thing that's promised in life is death..So if your in love y waste time living with a person if you live together for a long time and your in love your actually married already so y not make it offical

Divorces are not easy. Especially if you have a house and kids. Luckily I did not. They are expensive!!! But, as the old saying goes... Why are divorces so expensive?? Because they are worth it!! In regards to your question though, the woman I was married to turned out to be a cheating whore.Didn't know she was til 4 years after the fact. I was more than willing to keep the pledges I made. The bottom line is, some people are meant or built for marriage and staying with someone forever. These people know what commitment really is. The rest of the population either hasn't found that someone yet, chooses not to, or are nasty whores that deserve to die.

Good question. I'm a female in a domestic partnership and I really don't see the point of getting married. Living together is the same thing as being married it's just not on paper. And I don't see why that little piece changes things cause it really shouldn't.
Beside, divorce is so common now that its cheaper not to get married in the first place.
Marriage in this country has pretty much lost all meaning and value so there really is no point.

Living Together does'nt give the two a right on each other's property and without Divorce, there won't be a way to redeem the same...

Like buying and selling a Share in the market.... Why do u buy it just to sell it??? you could have just let it to be there.... But it grew and u grew with it as long as you were together....

Likewise, Marriage is a must if you have to know the real secret of happiness is what u had before u went thru this... and Divorce is the device which can take you back to your abode.... the Peaceful SINGLE life of Serenity...

coz Subah Ka Bhoola Shaam ko ghar laut aanaa chaahta ho...

to usae rokna nahi chaahiye...

Hai na???

Cheers...

Because marriage is the ultimate commitment, and, even though divorces are easy, a girl / woman loves to know the man she cares about will commit himself to her.

The marriage ceremony may also be fun of itself.

But, most importantly, children who are born out of wedlock still bear the brunt of social shunning. Even if their parents divorce afterwards, the fact that the children were born when the parents were married means both that the parents cared about each other, and that the parents cared for their children enough to grant them the social boon of being born right and proper.

I would personally prefer living with the person I love without marrying him, until we decide to have children, and then I would like us to be married, quiet and simple and without fuss, just for the children's sake.

I think people get married with intentions of never getting a divorce, but things happen lies are told, people change, and so does their concept of what love is. I think when a couple decides to take the step to declare their love its great bout a long engagement is better then a short live marriage.

If you want to have children its a good idea, it makes it harder to walk away, you have to give it a second thought.

I think marraige is on its way out anyway. The best way to stay together. DONT even live together.

Good question. Because it means something to the two people to get that piece of paper, and commit in front of their families.

No one thinks in the beginning that they will want a divorce later.
