A comment on superglue and stitches. 1- if you have a split lip, or a cut that is not incredibly deep, or gushing, that you can apply superglue as a temporary fix? Hospitals use this all the time, I understand. Paramedics carry superglue in first aid kits at home, even.

2- This is not a reccommendation, but if you have had stitches, it is actually reasonably easy to take them out. All you need is a caring individual, tweezers, nail clippers, and rubbing alcohol to keep everything sterile. Best to wait a few days after theyre scheduled to be out, of course. Then, if you want, follow up with superglue, just in case. =) Didja know that? Its a money saver, anyways...

I did know about using Superglue to close cuts due to several friends who are paramedics and/or nurses. Did you know that this use actually started in the boxing ring? The boxers' trainers started using it to quickly close up cuts over the boxers' eyes, so that the blood would not run into their eyes when they had been hit. Even though a person could take out their own stitches; this would not be a good choice. Can you say INFECTION??

Super glue deserves its name -- a single drop can permanently join your thumb to your index finger faster than you can say "Whoops," and a 1-square-inch bond can hold more than a ton. So how does this remarkable substance work? The answer lies in its main ingredient, cyanoacrylate (C5H5NO2, for you chemistry buffs).

large glue is baaaad, on soft issues and sparkling plastic and pores and skin, it burns and melts it - do no longer ignore large glue sticks issues with the aid of way of a chemical bond (surely melts them jointly). Glue weapons win!
