um... sorry to tell you, but, if mature adults can't manage it, then a couple of kids can't even come close to keeping it together. i know you don't see yourselves as being young, but you are. remember, you'll have another 10-15 years of possibly dating guys and someday you'll look back and realize how much more important things will take his place. just wait and do schooling and have fun with guys around your neck of the woods. don't get tied down to someone so far away that is more than likely messing around (like a normal boy of 16 does).

It is tough enough to develop a relationship without trying to do it long-distance. He is wise not to encourage you. Think of him as a dear friend...who was kind enough to tell you that he personally doesn't wish to bridge the distance with you...and he was only being honest with you. I can see why you like him. Correspond with him through E-mail...this way he can answer you at his leisure...and you can remain friends. Keep it casual. Sometimes, things will develop in spite of these challenges...so go on with your life...but "stay in touch". This way...you aren't giving up...you are simply putting it in a proper place.

You need to find somebody closer to you. He is right! Any long distance relationship is difficult, its even worse at your ages.
