He will only have access if your files/hard drive is shared....you'll know if its shared by opening "My Computer" and if there is a hand under your hard drive then he could possibly have access to your files. To turn off file sharing (if it is on), right-click on your hard drive and left-click on "Sharing and Security..." and in the network sharing and security box click the check box that says "share this folder on the network" so that there isn't a checkmark in it.

if he is using his own computer, no. If you don't want him to have access to your computer, then password protect it. At windows startup, he would have to enter your password before it would continue to boot. I use a router for my laptop, and one computer has nothing to do with the other. It only shares the internet connection. A router sends a signal from a cable modem to a wireless card, and that is all.

yes he can access to ur computer if ur files is appear shares files and printer if u want to turn share off then disable the share files and files go >go to control panel>networking-dialing>click on Local Network then click on second of mouse say Properties then u see files and printer sharing for microsoft Networkings if u want to uncheck the files and printer share then uncheck it so ur room will Not access to ur Computer files ,.,, Only able to use the Internet on the Router so but Not access to ur computer personally files bec u did uncheck the share files off

If it's a wireless Router, then no, he won't have access to your computer, and you can always password protect the computer itself if you leave....

he will only be able to access forlders that you "share" in Windows.

right click a folder and select "sharing and security"

to see a list of shared folders, right click on "my computer" and then click on "manage" locate the "shares" section.
