I like it. My real name is Nina. I used to hate it, and I got mad at my mom because I thought she should have named me Ariel after the Little Mermaid. That was obviously quite awhile ago. I like it now because it isn't very common. It's cultural; a lot of Hispanic and Indian people have it (it means little girl in Spanish). However I think my last name is annoying. When I get married, I hope I marry a guy with a cool last name to go with it. Preferably an Italian guy because I think they are hot.
Anyway, now that I've written a NOVEL for you.... :)

i hate my first name and i love my surname. my first name was the most popular girl name in the year i was born. its boring and too common. my last name is really neat. i just hate when people mispronounce it. i've even had people tel me i spell my last name incorrectly, it's not like thye know anyone eles with it who spells it differently. i've only met 1 person other than a close relative with my nam. i remmeber in school, the secretary would scare my mother by accidently calling her about the one girl instead of her mother.

I like my first name mostly... it's unique in its spelling so I'm one of a kind. But it's impossible to get people to spell it correctly sometimes. My last name now is my married name and I like it... my maiden surname, yuck. LOL!

Mine is Andy Clayton. It sounds nice and looks nice. My niece was born with the name Meghan. Her middle name is Kathleen. When she was a teenager she told us that she didn't like the name Meghan and was to be referred to as Kathleen. She went to town hall and had her named legally changed. We now call her Megaleen. I knew a woman whose name was Nancy C**k. I can't imagine what that was like in high school. As a restaurant manager I deal with people making reservations. When I ask for the last name, people with difficult names start to spell their names. I then say, I guess you are used to spelling your name.
I came across a Polish name that when I typed it was indescribable of how to pronounce it. He told me it is pronounced as "where is the house key". I had a check from a customer from India whose last name consisted of 27 letters.

my first name was fashionable when I was born, but it's kind of frumpy and the shortened version of it sounds a bit "Essex Girl" but it could be worse I guess. I like 2 of my middle names
