I think Israel's bombardment of Lebanon is ridiculous. Sure it was wrong to take that soldier but to go this crazy? You're going to kill more of your own people this way. I also think it's ridiculous how George Bush will try to stop any war except in the case of Israel, they do whatever they want.

You sound very intelligent. I believe it was necessary to happen however unfortunate. I am a Christian so this prospect falls in line with the book of Isaiah and the book of the Revelation. It will be something to watch unfold. I truely loathe the concept of war but you cant stop people from doing what they really want to do. Extremist regaudless what side they are on have no care for the innocence that get lost in the process. It is heartbreaking to see the civilian deaths. Those of us on the outside of this picture can see so many ways for this conflict to be averted but are helpless to do anything about it.

It's sad. I hate wars, but I understand both sides. It will take a long time to stabilise the area, but let's hope for the best. Despite the conflicts, I think the Middle East is on the way to peace... and then we can start to worry about Africa. :(

In shorter terms, if Iraq becomes a West-friendly liberal state and it can counterbalance Iran, everything can be nice soon, but it seems to it remains a place with semi-dictators like South America.

I wish it would hurry and end, but I believe Israel is doing the only thing that they can do and have peace. Kill them all, TERRORIST.
