find out how much you are worth to the company, can you be replaced easily, go for promotion put yourself in the frame for a step up, that usually gives a raise without asking for it, if there is no chance to gain promotion then you are stuck with the old method of knocking on your bosses door and asking , just exactly how much am i worth to you because i believe i am underpaid for the work that i do, i need a raise to compensate me for the amount/tme /value of the work i am contracted to do, add i dont want to find another job, is there common ground for a raise.

Don't demand or threaten to quit. Your boss could take you up on your offer.
Find reasons you think you deserve a raise.Pick the best 5 and take it to your boss. when he asks why you think you deserve a raise...state your reasons!

Burst into your boss's office, interrupt whatever he's doing, Jump up on his, give him a slap across his face to make sure he's paying attention, and then ask him very nicely.

do not deliver him an e mail, get a card and deliver it to him or supply it to him, or placed it on his table. that is a extra proper way. Your e mail may get deleted by coincidence. 'corridor Mark ' does make truly positive playing cards for all activities. Beside this can be a a lot nicer way of preserving thanks.
