I just got my laptop and I can’t get internet access. I see the connection that I have, but I don’t get access to internet??? What can I do??????

Ask someone to give you permission to access the school network.

Assuming you're in college, ask the librarian if there's ethernet ports you can hook laptop up to and run on their internet. Public school libraries may have the same thing or a few desktop PC models to surf on.
Most public libraries do have internet PCs and some county administrative buildings also have internet libaries, too.

if you dont have internet access, check your network connection, lan configuration and configure your internet account from your internet provider.
else, if it's only your school's website you can't open, then ask your internet provider.
else, if you're at school, then ask someone who knows about your schools' DNS and IP address, then change your IP settings.

first ask your school's network administrator if your school uses static or dhcp IP. most probably it is DHCP. next ask if there is any proxy (which is usually proxy.yourschoolname.edu.xx, default port is 8080 or 8888), the IP of your default gateway and IP of DNS server (if any)
configure your wireless adapter according to these values under 'tcp/ip' properties
