A few years ago the Queen of england went to Zimbabwe or some African country. The BBC carried a story about the queen meeting african people in the market place of Harare (I think) Turns out the whole thing was staged by the BBC and the 'market place' was nothing more than a film set, the people were all zimbabwean gov officials and 'upstanding' business folk. If the BBC can lie to you about something so small and insignificant think how much they are lying about the war in Iraq. Think how much the U.S. gov lies to us everyday on all aspects existance. The schools lie, the churches lie, the news lies, the banks lie and they are all getting their lies from the same people, the government.

No I don't trust authorities, especially in the govt., and yes they lie to us!

Where to begin? I could write a book. I first remember when my ex came back from Thailand and talked of planes loaded with bombs leaving the base, flying to Cambodia and coming back without the bombs. Gee, wonder where the bombs went?

It's been downhill from there!!!!!!!

Today the politicians control the media more then ever before, they cover up as much as they can- and it's very scary when you hear the truth. check out AfterDowningSt.org, Amnesty International, American Friends Service Committee, CodePink, etc. websites and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Never... I cant say too much or name anyone but a old mate of mine pays his local council £2000 in cash for contracts every 6 months.

Its common knowledge that one bloke was given a new car for a street cleaning contract .!

There all bent and would do anything for a "Wad of Cash".
How can they be trusted when they take bribes.

I am sure they do.. Because they have done it before. It may take many years but eventually we find out. But i can think of a lot of reason why our government would lie...The biggest ones would be to cover their a$$es

Politicians treat the general public with contempt. They cheat, steal and lie, and that's usually to each other. No, they save their special brand for us, the voters.

"Let's promise them better schools, hospitals, security and transport. Then do a massive u-turn when we get elected/re-elected. Oh, and give ourselves payrises for screwing up the country."

British politicians in a nut shell.

Corruption set aside, suppression of fact, at times, is necessary as truth may have volatile implications. Hence, authorities too have no choice but to fabricate facts and/or suppress them.
