if you were in love with her and wanted to marry her you would NOT want her to change. do NOT tell her you want her to lose some weight, do u know how much this will upset/hurt/crush her!? so many girls/ladies are in secure and it is the wrong thing to do to confirm their worries by trying to make her lose weight. i mean if she is obese, i can understand that. if shes just a little overweight thats OK.

First of all she must agree to lose weight :)

Both of you could replace say lunch/dinner with a meal replacement. Weight is accumulated if we eat too much of the wrong stuff (carbohydrates, fats) as compared to what we need.

I lost overall 9kg in around 3 months by simply switching a meal and kept if since. I feel much better, more energetic and especially no longer sleepy after lunch.

It's always easier if the 2 of you support each other.

You can also exercise together, non-impact stuff like roller-blading, swimming which will give an aerobic workout and help increase your metabolic rates.

If you really love her, then you need to accept the way that she is, including her looks. When you love someone and it is real, then you don't care about a little extra chunk. If it is important enough to you to do something about, and risk hurting her feelings a lot, then sit down and tactfully have a conversation with her, letting her know that her weight is affecting your relationship, and that you will help her lose weight if she decides to. I'm telling you right now though that your perspective is very warped and you need to think about what love and marriage is really about.

If you marry this woman and she gains 50 pounds, will you still love her? Or will you want a divorce? If you're not sure, then maybe you should rethink your "love."

Be careful, you may end up with an ex- girlfriend. What you can do is start taking walks together and let her talk to you while you walk. You could go walking in the malls, the parks, just walk more as a couple go dancing together. Do more activities together. Don't eat out too much unless it's like frozen yogurt places or go have coffee.

You say you love this girl but want to change her.
Maybe if she loses a lot of weight her self esteem will soar & she will wonder why she is with an insensitive man like you.
She probably comfort eats because you keep telling her to lose weight. The more you complain the more she will eat because her self esteem will be at rock bottom.
Try being a little more sensetive or you will lose her.

Accept her exactly as she is right now. If you can't do that, it is an obvious sign that you are not ready for the commitment of unconditional love. Or maybe you have the wrong girl and you need to re-evaluate your own desires and priorities in a mate. Good luck with the introspection.

You cannot lose weight without any effort; So the question is: Does she want it? Does she love you so bad that she is ready for diet and exercises?
May be you can offer her to do it along with her? If you are fit, eating well cannot hurt you anyway and exercise is good and will shape you body. Let' s do it together!

Rotate recreational and working times around each other, or to suite each other, so it's down to U2 to both make the effort to respect each other's decision. I hope the partner is as willing as youu are to reduce partner's body weight, umm?

Drive her someone saying your going for a walk.

Let her get out.

Speed off home and have your tea.

She'll get plenty excercise walking home.

(make sure she has no money - the cheeky porker might buy some chips to eat on the way or she might catch a bus)

Put a pin in her she'll blow around the room. Cos you only have a blow up doll. If you have a real woman and you love her and want to marry her then you shouldn't worry about her weight cos you should love her for what she is!!

Start inviting her on activities which will help cardio. Hiking, swimming, going for walks, or such like things. That is the healthiest way and won't lead to you sleeping on the couch.
