I don't mean something illegal, but just something you don't agree about. You'll get paid to write it and sign it with your name. Or to translate it from another language, if you're capable of doing so. Would you do it?

Please, tell me why you would or wouldn't. Don't just say "yes" or "no".

Thank you.

You'd have to use YOUR real name to sign it.

Nope. As it is, I have to turn down work (for a publisher) when it comes to certain science textbooks, because I dont agree with what they state as "fact" that I don't believe. It costs me money, and I am stuck doing Algebra for the past 8 months, but if I have to question my ethics for a paycheck, it isnt worth it to me.

It depends on if I'm broke or not, and since I am nearly broke, I'd do it for the right amount of money, then make use of a pseudonym.

I WOULD draw the line however and NOT write or translate something so incendiary that it would incite actions against groups of people. For example, I'd NEVER EVER write something racist, homophobic, or intollerant of the handicapped or nationalistically different, nor would I put my name on something that is overtly slanderous.

I would, however, write a piece of fiction laden with purple prose and ill-drawn characters and I'd use a nom de plume that's nothing like my real name, if it paid me enough money to support myself while I write the things that are important to me, under my REAL name.

no because I have strong ethics and morals. If I dont believe in doing that than money will not drive me to do it anyway...

What's the point of having principles?? No way, not me!

Money is only a worldly thing. It's temporary luxury. The eternal abode is what I'm trying to earn for...

Everyone has their price. Do you honestly think sportstars all believe that the athleticwear they advertise is what they truly believe to be the best? They wear it because it is provided for them and they get paid well to do those commercials. Without the money they wouldn't care less.

it depends, would I be able to look at myself in the mirror and still respect myself? If it would be against what I believe I probably wouldn't do it.

In the end I only have my honor

Not at all. Money doesn't mean anything to me.
