suppose 9/11 had never happened. The WTC would still be there, and they would not look any different. So if the towers are rebuilt to look exactly as they did prior to their destruction on 9/11 then you could essentially say that 9/11 never even happened, aside from the lives that were lost. I understand that we can not bring people back to life, but some justice could at least be done by "bringing back" the towers (rebuilding them just as they were). Does anyone agree?

' we should rebuild the towers, but not exactly as they were , as a engineer the design of the old towers was horrible and very weak , the system they used was never used at that large of scale, also they were not that pleasant to look at. we need to move on, but never forget that day,and the lives that were lost, we can't deny the fact that it was a cowardly act of aggression. just like Slavery was a horrible thing and the holocaust was a horrible thing .when people forget or deny a fact, then the chance for it to happen again is much Greater. yes we should rebuild, but not copy the old design . let's put up something beautiful, Like the people who were in the towers, and all the brave people who lost there lives trying to save others, on September The 11th.

No, I don't think they should be rebuilt. I feel that those towers served their purpose while they were there, now they are not needed. The people who lost their lives, the destruction and the rebuilding that most families have had to go through would be awful to have to see those back again.
For me it would be impossible to remember that my best friends life was lost and they put the towers back up and his memory is lost also. And to see them would be a constant reminder of what could have been.
No, I think time changes things for various reasons and this one is best left alone.

no we should not bring them back. if yall think that that would repair the damage not only done to the lives lost but to the country in general, your wrong. why should we rebuild something that was a target? how could that bring justice? and how could u say that if we rebuild them we could essentially say that 9/11 never happened. them being rebuilt would just be a reminder evryday for new yorkers what happened, looking up and seeing the new buildings.and if they were rebuilt, wouldnt new yorkers not to mention the entire country be scared or axiuous that just might happen again? having those rebuilt would just bring us back to that morning, before the planes hit. think about it.

they have already made a deliver out of the twisted steel! The plans are underway. there's a memorial being outfitted, it's going to be superb. the twin towers would be one, however the reminiscence would be there. it extremely is going to coach the worldwide we can by no capacity lose our spirit. the very fact they are debating the call shows we've the best to voice differing evaluations and nevertheless paintings as a set in the direction of a difficulty-loose purpose. u . s . a . of america might have the two a Freedom Tower or One worldwide commerce center, a reputation is basically a reputation, the construction would be there!

Well I don't think so I mean all rebuilding would do is bring back painful memories and instill a sense of fear into the hearts of Americans. Especially those who lost family and or friends on September 11 2001 and who's to say that it won't happen again I mean no one can guarantee that it won't. So I say that it would be best if we just eliminate any possibility of that ever happening again.

I totally agree. We need to re-build our nation, not build new, if that makes sense. I believe if we re-built the towers, it would be a sign of a stronger America that will stay unchanged, no matter how many terrorists are out there. I don't see where Sargosis or John Z get off saying that they fell down because of a design flaw, they fell down because a plane crashed into them!!! Not because of the wind or a tornado or any natural occuring event. What does he think would happen to any building in the world if a plane crashed into it, and I'm not talking a little single person plane and he knows that.

No. I disagree.

The towers were faulty and that's why they fell. We should never become so complacent the we choose to forget our past - especially our recent past. All life is precious and terrorist acts should never be forgotten. The original towers failed and they were destroyed. That is a fact. Now, we should rebuild better, stronger and we should never forget the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

No. Did rebuilding Europe mean that the Holocaust didn't happen? Rebuilding the WTC doesn't mean that 9/11 didn't happen. We should look at what happened that day, reflect on it, learn from it, and move on. The people who lost their lives that day should be remembered, especially the heroes of the FDNY and NYPD.

there is a consensus between engineers and politicians that the towers collapsed due to a design flaw. It would be foolish to rebuild something that we now know to be defective. If you think about it, there would be nothing stopping anyone from doing the same thing again and achieving the same results. It only makes sense to create an entirely new and more efficient design.

Yeah. I agree with your opinion and it makes lot of sense too.

As you said it would not bring back the people who died, but by building the towers again jus the same way they were,it would show the affirmation the people have & the spirit of the people is very strong and cannot be harmed.

It would convey a simple message to those people who were involved in that ghastly incident

Time and again the terrorists have tried to disturb us and disrupt our life - killing innocent civilians by such crude acts. They have tried hard to bring death and destruction, cause panic and fear and create communal disharmony but everytime they were disgustingly unsuccessful.

If you wanted to give us a shock then we are sorry to say that you failed miserably in your ulterior motives. Better look elsewere, not here.
