I think so, these days guys like to see a girl with curves. Do you think that being chubby is still a bad thing, or could it be taking the place of the skinny girl.

Variety is still the spice of life and beauty still remains in the eye of the beholder. My personal preference is someone who is a bit on the thick side vs. very skinny. I like to hold onto someone who feels comforting and won't break in my arms! We all need to accept ourselves. The media will always create some new form of "perfection" because celebrity is vain and reflects us all. It is superficial though. I still want to look my best, so I do participate, but I draw the line when it comes to living up to other people's standards. Having my own is the real freedom. Perfectionism, by the way, is considered a disorder, rather than an assett.

I used to be tiny and, although it didn't really make a difference in the amount I was hit on, I've actually gotten a lot more compliments on my body being a little 'thicker.' I've learned to love having a size 10 figure, as opposed to a size 4. That's a big change. I even feel sexier! I have curves...and a chest!! That's something totally missing from too-skinny girls.

From the experience I've had in relationships and dating, a guy would much rather be with a girl who had something to 'hold on to,' and someone comfortable enough to chill and eat ice cream with him, than a girl who's overly concerned about keeping a thin figure. This is coming from a chick who's played both parts.

It shouldn't matter so much what other people think. Be comfortable in your own skin. Be healthy. And be yourself! That is important! And I highly doubt that chubby girls will ever take the place that fit and skinny girls have. Some men will like some curves on women, but you will always have guys out there who will only want rail thin girls. And I say, let those girls have those guys. I wouldn't want someone who wanted me based on looks alone. :)

Skinny is the new skinny. In theory, guys like girls with curves, but what they really want is to look good and have a good-looking girl on their arm. Nicole Richie is the new hot look. A size six is the new 14. A size zero is the new two.

I think you're right and I'm thrilled! I prefer to call it healthy, rather than chubby, but it's actually having a figure with some boobs and hips

It all depends on the person. Personally I think thin is more attractive. A lot of people like fat, some like chubby, some like short and so on.

i was told by a guy that he prefers chubby girls becouse there is some thing about the love handles hanging over the hip huggers that turns him on.

curves yes. overtly anorexic or obese no.

and i don't like the word "chubby" - i envision a denizen of macdonalds coughing the words "do you think i'm pretty" around a burger - and that's very frightening

I don't think so, if that was the case there wouldn't be so many people on diets and girls with eating disorders.

I'm sick and tired of dating chubby girls. They can be bitchier than their anorexic counterparts.
