you should not be having sex at your age. there is always a risk of pregnancy and unless you are able to physically and emotionally support a child, wait. You need to just open up a line of communication between your mom and you. It is better to ask then not to. Don't forget about condoms also. BC doesn't stop all the STD's out there.

Sweetie if you were mature enough to have sex then go ahead and be mature to ask your parents for pills, it's better than getting pregnant by accident or getting diseases in which case you do not need, you are young, enjoy life...On another note if you don't feel comfortable telling your parents look for the closest Planned Parenthood Clinic, they are free and will help you in your situation.
Good luck , have fun but be safe :)

The age you recieve your first perscription of birth control is very different between females...I got mine when I was fifteen because I was having problems with my periods...I had a total of TWO periods in a whole year...If you are close with your parents, sit down and discuss your reasons why you would like to be put on birth control...They will take in your maturity on the subject and probably agree with you...I highly doubt any parent would refuse birth control to a teenager who claims to be sexually active, that is just plain and simply putting the child in danger...Be safe and even if you are using birth control, please be safe and use proper protection...Although I am still a virgin, I believe safe sex is the only way...Be open with your parents and be mature with any choices you make...The decisions your parents will make will be the one they believe is correct for you...If you believe they are making the wrong decision you can have a talk with your doctor in private then hopefully get the family together and have your doctor talk with them about your safety...Please be safe...Good luck...

Just be prepared to get used by a lot of guys that will tell you what you want to hear. By the time your 25-30 (maybe sooner) you'll be emotionally worn out and used up and hate men.
Option B: Wait until you grow up and find the person you want to be with the rest of your life (that means married). The sex will be more special and you won't have given so much of yourself away already.
I've seen too many sweethearts turn into sad, bitter, old women before their time. Don't let it happen to you.

I would say the good age to ask for pills is the age you started having sex! If you are sexually active you need to talk to your mother or an adult that you trust and get on something and get some CONDOMS!!! Pills dont stop diseases... You can always go to Planned parenthood they have them in every state and you dont have to be 18 to get birthcontrol

i imagine you hit the nail on the acceptable once you stated that you're extra mature. i imagine it is a thanks to mind-set it - by using demonstrating adulthood. And so the mature way is to in reality clarify how that is to her income that can help you you get the pills by using explaining that you comprehend that the pill isn't some thing that permits you to miss each little thing your household stands for yet some thing that permits you to take extra duty on your destiny. yet only say this stuff of you recommend them - fantastically you may want to be honest because in case you aren't to any extent further then you honestly will lose between the most important issues that you've with your mom - believe. And once you lose it, that is extremely, quite difficult to get again. good success!

If you have a mother like mine... NEVER!!!
but fortunately you don't need your mom to get birth control there are many clinics that would do it confidentially.
You know your mom better than we all do... how would she take it?
