is it allowed to wear scarfs in germany?

For tourists and in general yes...


But teachers in half of German states are banned from wearing Hijab..
These are..Baden-Wuerttemberg, Saarland Niedersachsen Hessen, Bavaria, Brandenburg and North-Rhine Westphalia.
In Berlin all civil servants are banned from wearing hijab :-(


Germany is not as bad as somewhere like France or Denmark , and students can still wear headscarfs..but there is not the same rights as Sweden or the UK....

There are about 5 milion muslims in Germany, And hijab is not unusual. Most Germans are not prejudiced but you might get some stares especially from the older generation.

i don't see why shouldn't it be allowed... it is personal freedom. but the reality is in Europe and USA, if you are a muslim and wearing a scarf, then you are an extremist terrorism muslim but if you are a christian nun wearing head cover, then you should be respected for your religious beliefs and blessed by everyone.. ironic, isn't it???!!!!!!
